SSB will absolutely have a new release on S2 but I don't see the possibility of another Mario Kart until the next console. Maybe DLC improvements?

As hopeful as I am for the next Smash, I'm no longer convinced it'll be a worthy successor to Ultimate given how underwhelming MKW was. Best case, we'll get a S2 edition with 5-10 more characters (all paid DLC) plus some desperately needed balancing and bug fixes, but I doubt Nintendo would want to go that route anyways due to licensing. I get the feeling Ultimate was truly the last Smash Bros (as we know it at least).

I was borderline on buying it since really it's just for long term eventual exclusives without any pressing game I have to play now... granted Amazon's returns are obviously usually easy.
