This 256GB Samsung microSD Express card stands out as a strong price on fast storage, especially for Switch 2 and other devices that support SD Express. It is also described as a solid fit for Nintendo Switch, with faster PC reads when paired with an Express reader and continuous writes rated at 30MB per second. The main caution is compatibility, since non Express devices fall back to UHS I speeds around 100MB per second. For dash cams and other constant recording gear, endurance cards are the safer match.

  • The card can work in devices that support microSDXC, including Nintendo Switch use cases.

  • The card can deliver a speed boost when used with an SD Express-capable device.

  • The card can run at regular UHS-I speeds in non-SD Express readers, which may still be usable for general storage.

  • The card reportedly works in an Insta360 X5 camera setup for everyday recording.

  • The card may not be suitable for dash cams because video recording can involve constant writes and faster wear.

  • The card can deteriorate faster in continuously recording camera scenarios due to constant write activity.

  • The card's higher speeds require SD Express support, otherwise it falls back to about 100MB/s in UHS-I mode.

  • The card can be fragile and may snap or break during removal from packaging.

Tested around 80MB/s read/write in UHS-I card reader. Not bad for the price. True SD express only has very limited use cases like switch 2.
The real question is whether I should get that Selore SD express reader for $28...which will do ~500MB/s...

I think this is made for the Switch. You can use any card with your dash cam
While you can technically use any microsd card. The constant writes from a continuously recording camera to the card will cause it to deteriorate significantly faster.

I bought this for recording from a DJI drone, I kinda wonder if maybe I should just get the Lexar Professional SILVER PLUS recommended one instead...

Correction: seems to be not available on business accounts, still like if I'm not logged in. So stupid.

I haven't had a chance to use any DJI drones but I would check if they support microsd Express interface.

Why not a dash cam?
Dashcams continuously record and overwrite footage, creating constant write activity. Endurance microSD cards are specifically designed to withstand these heavy write cycles, making them more reliable than standard cards for long-term use. A lot of people on here appear to buy microSD cards for dashcams and security cameras so I figured it was worth mentioning.

Bought one for my DashCam. Been using non endurance micro sd cards for years now issues.

It was either this or the HP rebranded one from earlier in the week

Just wondering, has anyone tried using this with a DJI Osmo Action 6, DJI Osmo Nano, or DJI Osmo 360?

I know it's not on the recommended list, so I'm not planning to rely on it for important recordings. I was just curious if it works well enough to keep as a backup microSD card. Would love to hear if anyone has tried it. Thanks!
