The normal microSDXC cards do dip down to that level though.
Prices will probably drop eventually. It's just that we don't know how long this bubble is going to last. Also, it's possible prices won't fall to as low as they used to be. I remember getting 512GB microSD for $20-25 before COVID.
I guess I'll just install Switch 2 games as needed instead of keeping my library on SD.

Me too, I bought this at $33 last year when cards were cheap so this is close enough; I'm shocked it didn't sell out quickly especially for a 256. the only thing I can think of is still....people believe Express is not backwards compatible ie "those cards are made for switch only."
Granted, I still have a few unused pre-AI bubble 128 (~$10-12), 256 (~$20) and 512 ($30-35) Samsung EVO Select and PRO+ cards stashed away. I only bought one Sammy 1TB ($70) which is already in use on my Steam Deck. Wish I'd bought more.
