This Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan with 1TB is mainly valued as a way to extend Lightroom and Photoshop access at a lower prepaid price. The codes can work for years if redeemed later, and buying multiple codes can extend coverage when they match the exact same plan. The main caution is stacking, since different product codes or vendor changes have triggered overlapping subscriptions instead of extensions. The safest approach is to wait until the current subscription expires before redeeming the next code, especially if switching from another prepaid source.

Common Questions (4)

  • It can stack only when the voucher matches the exact same plan/product code; otherwise it may start a parallel subscription instead of extending the current one. The safest approach is to wait until the existing plan expires before redeeming the new code.

  • Two codes can reportedly be applied at once, but three could not. If you want multiple years, the safer route is to redeem them only after the current subscription ends rather than trying to stack several immediately.

  • Yes. A code purchased 3 years earlier was redeemed successfully, so immediate activation is not required if you want to hold it until your current subscription ends.

  • No, the 20GB plan can't be bought anymore. One practical workaround is to buy this 1TB Photography plan as a replacement, though it may be worth waiting to redeem if Adobe offers a retention deal on your current plan.

Does anyone know how long the codes last? For example if I can purchase and then hold onto the code for a few months before redeeming.
I just redeemed a code I purchased 3 years ago, no problem

For me, it's just insurance to save a couple bucks in case I miss this deal one year. I'm going to buy the membership every year, so a few bucks helps. I've missed the offer previously, couldn't find safe codes, and paid regular price, but I felt so defeated 😂
you can hold 2 codes to feel more safe 😀 just in case you missed deal for 1 year.
Given current high inflation rate, I feel good to hold more codes

well, i can't get a straight answer from adobe or newegg re: buying multiples and using them sequentially. adobe says ask newegg, newegg doesn't seem to know anything.
I usually get one around Black Friday, then redeem sometime when my wife's sub expires in Jan/Feb. I'm not sure you'd want to buy 3, then try to redeem them 1 year apart though. I don't think you can "stack" them for multiple years. I think you have to wait for the sub to expire before adding a voucher/code.

I think the point was that for people not using it say every week, holding on to the codes instead of redeeming them immediately makes sense. My current sub expires in August. I'll probably jump on this deal and buy now but I won't stack the code in my account. I'm not a super frequent user so it's possible I might not use the software for some time after my sub ends in August. I'll only start the next 12-month clock when I need it in Sept, Oct, whenever.
The way you understood this sounds right. I take stacking more as the Xbox live version. Add 2 or 3 codes at once to 'stack' multiple years immediately. We need to come up with a better name for this version, buying but holding on to codes until the membership runs out, or you want to add it back. Pocketing or stashing maybe? 😁

Regarding why some licenses stack and some don't: I tried to stack one of the 1TB plans and it didn't work. Adobe explained that I had purchased a 1yr/1TB plan and my existing plan was a 12mo/1TB plan and those have different product codes :-). They allowed me to uninstall the new parallel plan and then issued me a new license code for that 1yr/1TB plan to then be installed when my existing 12mo/1TB plan expired. My personal rule is if I didn't buy the licenses at the same time, to always wait for the existing installed license to expire before installing another license, to be on the safe side :-).
