I highly suggest a PRO Endurance SD card for constant re-writing over the Amazon Basics. The Amazon one is good for smartphones and on-off recording, like for a digital camera, not for a dash cam for constant recording. All i can say is rock the card until fails or gives you issues then look into a Pro Endurance card. I have been using Samsung PRO Endurance 128GB in my Viofo with the installation kit to continue recording when the car is shut off and I have not had to replace the card yet in 6 years. I also setup the Vifo in the settings to prompt me to reformat the card every 15 days. That keeps the card fresh from wearing out on the same spot from recording.

Been on the Internet since before eternal September and I think this is the most worthless comment I've ever seen. People in the market for a $200 dashcam are not going to instead buy a whole new car.

I've had this for about a year now. Love it!! Someone in front of me got into an accident and with my footage that I was able to download immediately, sent the driver the clip so that she can provide to their insurance company. She later messaged me that because of the clip, she won the claim.

Idk, last time I bought this it failed before even completing a year. I was so pissed I didn't even bother to process a claim on it, I honestly just don't have the time to be bothered with it. I refuse to buy VIOFO after that. I expected it to last 2-3 years before replacing but 8 months is ridiculous.

Bought mine over 5 years ago, still going strong, saved me when making claims a few times.

My Viofos have been fine, but so has my Rexing, and so has my B1W. Video quality is good on my current Viofo A229 plus but I was satisfied with all.

None of those cameras have failed me in Arizona. I have had microSD card fail until I used a high endurance card then no card failures since.

Did you buy a High endurance, U3 speed SD card? Not all SD cards will work. Has to be made specifically for cameras.

Bought the a229 pro dual channel for $279.99 just under a month ago. Sending back so I can get the deal. Amazon couldn't refund me the 64 dollar difference so here we go. Glad I saw this post.

Have this for 2 years in all seasons, paired with the Samsung pro advance SD card. The provided cable for the rear camera left me with an extra 1ft.+ for my 3 row SUV. Plenty long especially when following the ceiling trims that added to the overall length. Best install on glass, not so good luck on the interior plastic that kept falling off from the summer heat.

I found the YouTube channel Vortex Radar very helpful when trying to choose a dash cam. as much as I love the Project Farm channel's videos, I take some of them with a grain of salt because the guy is only able to test so many aspects of a product, especially when he's not already familiar with the type of product.

New driver in the house starting this week. figure this is a good investment regardless.
