My A229 front and rear kit has been up for over 2 years now and has survived the perpetual summer that is California without the adhesive coming loose so far. You do eventually have to re-format the SD card as it fills up with false positive saved videos (brake slightly harder on a stop, or hit that speed bump a little too hard, etc) but it has otherwise been working fine. Just make sure the micro SD card you get is a high endurance so that you don't burn through its lifespan too fast.

Highly recommend this! Could seamlessly read license plates in glaring California sunshine.

I would like to respectfully disagree. When the Tesla is 200 bucks then I will buy one to install into my vehicle.

New driver in the house starting this week. figure this is a good investment regardless.
Is it easy to swap between cars? I'm looking at putting the rear view mirror tether in both vehicles.
I don't think these are made to swap between cars. While easy to remove, it leaves behind a plate which I think is the GPS sensor. Technically, recording still works fine but I don't think two plates were included.

Thank you, will install and use then decide if we want to purchase another or go a tad cheaper in the secondary car. All in we were about 250 for the unit, dongle and sd card.

Wouldn't you just remove the whole thing including the "plate" (mounting plate?) by just unsticking it from the windshield?

Any sort of suction mount available for these? Every time I use an adhesive based mount, it eventually fails, but the glue left behind on the windshield hangs on for dear life and is a pain to clean.

Are there mirror kits that would connect these things to always on power so you didn't have to run an install kit to the fuse box?

I have this dash cam and I get a message saying the card is slow, anyone know what's up with that??
If you have too many locked videos then you will need to format it and clear the space. I had that happen. I drive in the city with alot of bumps and constant braking causing the fashcam to lock alot of videos. Either or you have a slow sd card. I recommending getting at least a min of 256.

Been on the Internet since before eternal September and I think this is the most worthless comment I've ever seen. People in the market for a $200 dashcam are not going to instead buy a whole new car.
I think he stopped by to flex and he was shot down.

That's not an easy remove and replace unless you come up with some other mount solution that isn't a one time use sticky pad.

I got the Pro version recently and It acts strangely when it's super hot out. It will randomly shut off, or stay on but not record, the revised settings would auto reset and not change.

I have an old Vuofo A129 Duo that I want to replace. I already have the car set up for hardwire and the long 8M extension cable for connecting the rear camera, but the connectors are USB mini B. Do I need to go out and buy a new fuse box hardwire kit and 8M cord for the USB C and reinstall everything thing, or can I just pop on some mini-B to C adapters?
