I highly suggest a PRO Endurance SD card for constant re-writing over the Amazon Basics. The Amazon one is good for smartphones and on-off recording, like for a digital camera, not for a dash cam for constant recording. All i can say is rock the card until fails or gives you issues then look into a Pro Endurance card. I have been using Samsung PRO Endurance 128GB in my Viofo with the installation kit to continue recording when the car is shut off and I have not had to replace the card yet in 6 years. I also setup the Vifo in the settings to prompt me to reformat the card every 15 days. That keeps the card fresh from wearing out on the same spot from recording.

Been on the Internet since before eternal September and I think this is the most worthless comment I've ever seen. People in the market for a $200 dashcam are not going to instead buy a whole new car.

I've had this for about a year now. Love it!! Someone in front of me got into an accident and with my footage that I was able to download immediately, sent the driver the clip so that she can provide to their insurance company. She later messaged me that because of the clip, she won the claim.

This is true. I've had several other brands of cards fail and found out after the fact. Buy the endurance cards, they do last longer.

Better than Vantrue E1 pro. But, seems to randomly skips recording in any weather. Samsung pro endurance card.

Either overpriced their brand 128-256 or SanDisk Max Endurance. I use samsung pro endurance. Not good enough for viofo. Some fw/sw compatibility issue. Which can probably be fixed by Viofo.

One disadvantage is a main unit has a bigger adhesive patch, so need to slit a narrow groove that will bridge over any defroster lines on the glass.

When will we stop upvoting the same deal on the same model from Viofo for over 2 years now? This has been the same deal for every Amazon Prime event since. They are refusing to drop the price further on the A229 even as its successor has already been out. Let's have higher standards people.

I have this, and I use a Samsung Endurance card, and I still get the annoying faint beep every few minutes. I am told that only VIOFO can get the beep away. I have now learned to tune out the annoying sound what with the current SD Card prices.
