It's a good deal but don't expect batteries to last that long. I've had my mower 3 years now and the original battery doesn't last through the front yard most of the time now even though I baby it (wait for cool down to recharge, don't leave in garage, etc.). I bought a couple knock-off batteries from Ebay that help me get through but those are junky as well. I only have a 1/3 acre so I don't sweat it but if I had a large yard it would suck. The batteries are the biggest drawback on these Ego mowers. The technology is still not there unless you can swap frequently with a low cost (which you cannot).
I don't have this particular model, but I bought the non-propelled version of this 7 years ago and it's still running strong. same blades, same battery. I also have their leaf blower and string trimmer, plus 2 additional batteries. no complaints or issues so far. really good value, at this price
EGO's 21 inch 56V self propelled mower stands out for easy handling, quiet button start operation, and strong cut quality, with Touch Drive making larger yards and slight inclines easier. The two 4Ah batteries and rapid charger add real value, and the batteries are enough for many residential lawns, with some reports of half acre or more on a charge. The main cautions are weight, around 71 pounds with batteries, and battery runtime dropping faster in thick grass or when using self propel. It feels like a solid cordless setup if convenience matters more than gas mower lightness.
EGO tool owners building a battery ecosystem, because the included 4Ah packs are useful across blowers, trimmers, and other compatible tools.
Homeowners with larger yards or slight inclines, because the self-propelled drive and 56V power make mowing easier and the included batteries cover most residential lawns.
Buyers wanting a quieter, low-maintenance cordless mower, because it starts with a button, skips fuel and oil changes, and runs noticeably quieter than gas.
Yes, the platform has strong long-term reports, with multiple owners saying their mowers and batteries are still working after 5 to 10 years. The main recurring drawback is battery wear over time, especially for larger yards.
They're enough for most residential lawns and can handle about a half acre or more on flat ground, but runtime drops fast with self-propel, thick Bermuda, or tall grass. For larger or heavier lawns, 4Ah batteries may need swapping or recharging mid-job.
It weighs about 61.4 lbs without batteries and about 71 lbs with both batteries installed. Several owners describe it as heavier than expected, so it's not a lightweight battery mower.
No. This model uses a single Gator mulching blade, while Select Cut is the dual-blade system found on higher EGO models. The single-blade setup still cuts well and can be used with side discharge.
Love my ego self propelled mower. Mine is this same model I think it's the 600 series/ lowest model but it cuts great. I have no experience with the better models 800 or 1000 series. I think the 800 and 1000 have dual blades for better mulching and maybe a aluminum deck or some thing. This base model does great tho
Same as desanite comment…but I have the self propelled mower, blower and trimmer. Never any problems. Just convenience and reliability. Great price for mower with 2 batteries.

ditto... my old push ego mower died so I'm down to two SP cuts, two trimmers and two blowers. I'm not a mechanic and my old small engine guy passed on convenience and reliability is the thing. I just spent this much on an old gas riding mower only to have it die a week later.
I'm on a mission, saving the planet with clean ego deals and hiring some kids that are out of school . oh and one more tip: reuse those kitty litter buckets, they are the perfect size for 6 or so batteries.. About as much as I want to carry.

Just got mine delivered today (SUNDAY).. it's back in stock but full price. Kind of an impulse buy and I kind of mistook SP (self-propelled) for Select Cut... don't mind me. It's still a good deal and I'm pretty sure you can add the extra mulching blade kit to this LM2122SP... it came with a single sharp Gator Blade for mulching which is fine. I was hoping the chute was the same, my other bags will work but not the side discharge and mulch plug. I read the side discharge is always falling off anyway. I love the touch drive and controls! Still a happy puppy, now I can trash my 4yo LM2130SP (with dual blades) on rough lawns. I'll find out more as I go, the 4Ah batteries were the selling point for me..

*** However I'm not responsible for injuries, read the find print on these replacement blades.. it's confusing..
Lowes sells this model too LM 2122SP-2 !! https://www.lowes.com/pd/EGO-POWE...5014996863 edit.. I go my model numbers mixed up... guess a double blade kit won't work.. Less trouble, this mower came with a single gator mulching blade that cuts easily.
I just tried it with the side chute discharge and it runs great... The 4Ah battery is nice on my string trimmer, blower and hedge trimmer, good power to weight balance.

People maintaining a half-acre lawn, because two 4Ah batteries are described as enough runtime and the charger alone is valued highly.
Buyers wanting a quieter, low-maintenance cordless mower, because it starts with a button, skips fuel and oil changes, and runs noticeably quieter than gas.
People expecting a lightweight mower, because this unit weighs about 71 pounds with batteries and feels heavier than expected.
Owners of thick Bermuda or other heavy grass on large yards, because two 4Ah batteries can drain quickly and overheat under sustained load.
Lawns around one acre or more, because the included batteries are questioned as insufficient for that amount of mowing.
Buyers who want long battery life without swapping, because battery runtime can drop after a few seasons and may not finish even a front yard.
