It's a good deal but don't expect batteries to last that long. I've had my mower 3 years now and the original battery doesn't last through the front yard most of the time now even though I baby it (wait for cool down to recharge, don't leave in garage, etc.). I bought a couple knock-off batteries from Ebay that help me get through but those are junky as well. I only have a 1/3 acre so I don't sweat it but if I had a large yard it would suck. The batteries are the biggest drawback on these Ego mowers. The technology is still not there unless you can swap frequently with a low cost (which you cannot).
I don't have this particular model, but I bought the non-propelled version of this 7 years ago and it's still running strong. same blades, same battery. I also have their leaf blower and string trimmer, plus 2 additional batteries. no complaints or issues so far. really good value, at this price
EGO's 21 inch 56V self propelled mower stands out for easy handling, quiet button start operation, and strong cut quality, with Touch Drive making larger yards and slight inclines easier. The two 4Ah batteries and rapid charger add real value, and the batteries are enough for many residential lawns, with some reports of half acre or more on a charge. The main cautions are weight, around 71 pounds with batteries, and battery runtime dropping faster in thick grass or when using self propel. It feels like a solid cordless setup if convenience matters more than gas mower lightness.
EGO tool owners building a battery ecosystem, because the included 4Ah packs are useful across blowers, trimmers, and other compatible tools.
Homeowners with larger yards or slight inclines, because the self-propelled drive and 56V power make mowing easier and the included batteries cover most residential lawns.
Buyers wanting a quieter, low-maintenance cordless mower, because it starts with a button, skips fuel and oil changes, and runs noticeably quieter than gas.
Yes, the platform has strong long-term reports, with multiple owners saying their mowers and batteries are still working after 5 to 10 years. The main recurring drawback is battery wear over time, especially for larger yards.
They're enough for most residential lawns and can handle about a half acre or more on flat ground, but runtime drops fast with self-propel, thick Bermuda, or tall grass. For larger or heavier lawns, 4Ah batteries may need swapping or recharging mid-job.
It weighs about 61.4 lbs without batteries and about 71 lbs with both batteries installed. Several owners describe it as heavier than expected, so it's not a lightweight battery mower.
No. This model uses a single Gator mulching blade, while Select Cut is the dual-blade system found on higher EGO models. The single-blade setup still cuts well and can be used with side discharge.

Hot take: the LM2135SP at $449 may actually be the better buy.
The LM2122SP-2 at $399 was a killer deal, but for just $50 more the LM2135SP adds the Select Cut dual-blade system, which is one of EGO's biggest upgrades for cut quality and mulching performance.
For those of us with smaller yards and already invested in EGO batteries, I'd rather spend the extra $50 and get the better mower.
Just my 2 cents after spending way too much time comparing EGO models today.

I have an 80V dual port Greenworks mower, and it uses the batteries one after another, not at the same time. So I think this is not true for all dual port mowers.
This.
I also have a Greenworks dual port [specifically, a Greenworks 60V 21" Brushless (Self-Propelled) Cordless Lawn Mower, 2 x 4.0Ah Batteries, with dual port charger as well]; mine also uses the batteries sequentially. When one is depleted, the mower switches over to the next one...it's brief & barely noticeable. It's specs say i's 65 lbs, but it seems and handles as if it's much lighter (I have not weighed it).
I cut ~3/4 acre with it, and usually don't even use the self-propel [which was not the case with my old 4-cycle ICE that started to burn oil :-( ].
I usually need to recharge after 1 1/2 hrs., but that gives me a chance to recharge myself and then go back out to finish up :-)
We're on our 2nd season...also used it for mulching leaves last fall. Loving it so far, knocking on wood!
The deal is dead and what's funny is that the price history doesn't even mention the reduced price from earlier today. I noticed the same thing happen with a TV from Amazon.
still alive here.. tempted to get it just for the 2x 4Ah batteries. Those are the only batteries I don't have, just right for blowers and trimmers, 5Ah is just a bit heavy.
I've been semi pro using these but tried to stretch out the batteries with a gas mower and make my ego 7.5Ah mower last longer.. tempted to get this just for backup. I already have 8 batteries but some are probably 4yrs old!
slow shipping 7% CB will help and I have time to think about it... I'm running an old 25yo Honda commercial on rough field. I'll sell some of my other Ego tools with older batteries. I have a chainsaw I never use,
Prime mixes up reviews and images.. I says 65min on two batteries but only uses one at a time I think.

I should post this EGO POWER+ Portable Inverter, 180W, Power Inverter Generator also on sale. This is the older model I bought before or I'd jump on it. Works great with all Ego batteries https://www.amazon.com/EGO-PAD180...NWBJ/?th=1

Dual-port mowers draw power from both batteries simultaneously to hit their maximum torque rating. If you put a single battery in it, the cutting torque drops significantly. Running two small 4.0 Ah batteries simultaneously forces each battery to drain rapidly under a heavy load (especially through thick Southern grass like Bermuda). This rapid power draw generates intense internal heat. Forums consistently show that 4.0 Ah batteries run harder and hot-flash (overheat) much faster when trying to push a heavy 21-inch mower deck through a large yard.
I don't believe this model is a dual port. Please don't confuse the two. Here is video https://youtu.be/xcMsQgNOZuw?
It's says temporarily out of stock and no price now so something is up and Prime Day is through FRIDAY .. I just hope the mods don't mark this dead prematurely

Yes. The mower can run on one battery while the other is charging, which helps extend mowing time if the included 4Ah pair isn't enough for your yard.

I had this in my cart. Talked my wife into it being a good deal, came back to buy and... it's gone.
