I bought a 256GB Pixel 10 Pro eBay certified refurb on eBay for ~$500 a few weeks ago. Base model doesn't compare to the Pro. Don't bother buying new on phones, it's a scam just like college textbooks. They release a new model almost every year and then say the one you bought last year is worthless. You end up paying more and more like a good little consumer while piling on the e-waste.

Pixel phones have too many problems to pay even this much for them... I love my pixels, but I think we got spoiled by previous deals like Best Buy trade in and the 7 pro deal from mint

The Tensor G5 chip in these still suck, sluggish performance and poor battery life / thermals especially if you leave 5G on. Got mine "free" from T-Mobile's EIP deal on super cheap plans that I don't plan to move out of, dailied as secondary device for half year now, still would not pay any money for it if I need to purchase a phone.

These chips can be considered wasted silicon the moment they were produced as the crappy Tensor series. Bad thermals, performance, efficiency, everything.

Agreed. I got a tablet once with 128 GB and it was super tight to manage the storage all the time.

It's fine for most people that just use a phone as a phone. It gets tougher when you start downloading a bunch of ultra high def media or take tons of pics and video.

However the phone has fast USB, wifi and 5g for offloading or streaming media so it's really not as tough to deal with as past devices. If you're on off-grid hiker or digital nomad who constantly finds themselves off network then yeah, spring for more storage. Otherwise I have two android phones with SD cards doing mostly nothing at the moment. On the device I am typing this on, the 128gb of internal storage is half full but I have a 512gb card full of media and roms I never actually consume or play. It's kind of a waste of storage.

I've had 3 pixel phones, 0 thermal issues. 0 performance issues ... I'm thinking it might just be you bud

Which phone would you rather pay for? And how much would you expect to pay for it (with a Slickdeal)?

Sluggish? How? I charge to 80% and don't let my battery fall below 20% and have zero issues making it through a day on a charge.

Tensor doesn't benchmark as well as other chips but who cares? It's a phone not a server. If you need every ounce of performance available from your phone CPU you're using the wrong tool for the job.

Tensor is beyond fine for everything you'd do on a phone. I've never experienced even a sliver of lag, stutter, etc. Had Pixels since the OG and currently have the P10 Pro
