So I have a pair I bought from Target for $179.99 and here is my take:
  • ANC is pretty good on them
  • They are a tighter fit
  • Sound is good just like the pros 2.
Honestly dont see a reason to upgrade unless your Pros 2 broke.

I have a pair of 1st-gen AirPod Pros which are nice companions to my Bose 700 headphones. No complains for what I use them for (exercise and outdoor activities). Am I missing anything by not upgrading to the 3rd-gen ones and keeping my 1st-gens, or is it a worthwhile upgrade at this price?

Agreed. It already seems like it is. If I recall the last generation hovered around that price after a while with sales around $160.
