Wish I could activate on visible for the $299.

Switched to Visible a few years ago and never looked back at (direct) Verizon

I was trying to multitask and failed. Should have included "for the $299 discounted price on visible"
I have had no issues buying unlocked phones and activating on visible. I haven't had a phone payment for like a decade, and don't plan to. Monthly payments are a trap, I warn all friends and family about.

The activation discount for $100 to make this $299 for Verizon does not make the phone locked. It remains factory unlocked and if you cancel the account within 3 days you will only get charged for couple of days of service so that's the way to go for additional savings

Solid phone despite the 8GB RAM and last year's Tensor chip. I have Fi and got it for about $170 after trading in my old Pixel. Battery life is great, performance is zippy for everyday use. Make sure you enable 120Hz since it's not by default.

Make sure you keep it backed up. My 6 pro was working perfectly, I set it down for a second and it was completely dead when I picked it back up. Tons of people on the 6 subreddit had the same sudden death in the last few months
