If you like turn based RPGs you'll love this like I did. It takes a few hours to get into the story and the battle mechanics. By far one of the best games I've played in years.
Calling a masterpiece developed by an indie team who collectively decided to quit their jobs and follow their dream and start their own company an 'uninspired' effort is a pretty wild take.
Lol I liked it. But I also don't play a lot of games to begin with to know which are good and which isn't.
Lol so all the nerds on here saying it's not that great probably knows what's up.
But then again this game did win Game of the Year award too.
Lol but then I googled the list of games that won that GOTY award and Vampire Survivor was on there.. Game was fun for a few hours but I didn't think it was GOTY level good haha.

"masterpiece"... easy there bud, it ain't that.
yeah good on the indie dev team, but that doesn't make the game good, bad or even an inspired story or gameplay mechanics... and certainly has no bearing on it being a masterpiece.
it's a fine game that takes inspiration from lots of older games... but it doesn't break the mold in any way and doesn't do anything particularly special.
the hype and glaze is wild for this one.
Don't let the trolls sway you from giving this game a try. I started playing even before all the hype and for me it was the best game since Witcher 3. This game is truly a masterpiece and I wish I can forget about this game just to experience it again. But no game in recent memory made as big of an emotional impact on me as much as E33 did.
Such a fantastic game. Recieved for christmas last year and id def say tis worth this price. Excellent story. Fun and challenging game play, beautiful visuals, plenty of content. It really has it all.
I got all achievements for this game two weeks ago. Looking back, I feel the game was pretty mid. Yakuza infinite wealth is another turn based combat narrative game and I'm loving that one far more.

But I guess that's normal for unreal engine. They have a bunch of pre-loaded textures
