I have overall good experience with Reolink wired (AC power) cameras.
Tried new Solar Floodlight - and it's missing too many, even being constantly fully charged.
And was very surprised and disappointed that their doorbell, even being wired, is also missing movements just in front of it often. Package detection for some reason just stopped working (after being good last year)

I dont have good experience with Reolink's multi lens cameras, the software maturity is quite bad, things that just worked on single lens cameras have all sorts of problems (FTP, RTSP are broken in many ways)

The support is also questionable, they don't like giving new firmware. Website is rarely updated.

I have 12 Reolink cameras and the NVR (up to 36 channels). Put 3x16TB drives in there to hold at least 3 weeks of continuous video storage. All cameras are PoE, 8 are Trackmix with dual-lens (so consumes 2 channels on the NVR). Have been mostly very happy with these. I keep them updated via Home Assistant. Needed one for the garage interior and this Omvi looks like it will be perfect for my setup (3 bays, door to house on far left, service door on far right). Hopefully this performs as advertised.

I have similar complaints. Their camera's are very good and show off excellent picture but the NVR is trash and the software is almost as bad as eufy's... almost

It's crazy how Eufy's app has remained unchanged and still buggier than every for the past three years. Reolink's is odd, but not as annoyingly buggy, and a force quit usually fixes it. Once I got rich push notifications set up in 2024 via email/Pushover for RL, I'd never go back to Eufy even if they paid me.

Interesting. The Android app works just fine for me. I keep the firmware on the NVR and cams updated through Home Assistant. And my custom dashboard in Home Assistant that lets me view all cameras works great. Pet, person, vehicle notifications work well (of course the nightly notifications where a moth is near the lens and looks like Mothra are unfortunate).

I will say with 48TB of storage history, navigating back to an older recording window takes longer than it should (likely a combination of 7200rpm spinning disks and however well/poorly Reolink structures its indexes).

Yeah, it's stuff like that, that usually results in my force quitting the app and going back in to see if it works faster/right. There's bugs where it'll say no history, take forever to even show current history from today, esp with this Omvi, other times it'll say camera is disconnected and take its sweet time to do that as well, even though the camera, is, in fact, not offline. If you have a doorbell, it'll almost always 80-90% of the time start loading its feed up when you open/re-open the app from force quit or background, which is really annoying, but other times it'll randomly load up whatever camera you last looked at. It also crashed on me downloading a clip from an Argus 4 Pro at a friend's cabin where the DSL is only 0.8mbps, so downloading a 1 min clip takes forever, but is always successful in the end, except that time.

I bought early when it came out. Fortunately, Amazon price matches for Prime as this was in the return window
