I have followed the Youtube "Wrenching with Kenny" for a while, and he seems to like the "Pig" brand over others. This offer looks like about a buck per square foot, and the small Pig roll seems in the same ballpark. But a huge Pig roll looks like about half the cost.
I guess if you have not been using these mats, you don't need enough to justify a big roll, so we're back to the small sizes. If I were super cautious about oil on my garage floor, I might think about buying thin poly sheeting and gluing it under big pieces of cardboard. There are spray glues that would probably do the job.
I guess it comes down to one question. "Do you feel lucky? Well, do 'ya?"

Maybe I did not give the best answer. I believe that both "Wrenching with Kenny" and "The Car care Nut" used those kind of mats at some point of the videos. Both are professionals, and if I were to be a professional mechanic, I would follow their lead.
