I'm definitely not a Chemical Guys fan boy, but looking beyond all the current shade folks throw at them (justifiably in a lot of cases), these are solid mitts. For the price of the Rag Company's MF 2 pack, you can get about 6 of these and essentially use one per panel. If it's all about avoiding scratches and you have the storage, this is a great setup. If Mike Phillips uses the chenille style, I'm on board.

Yeah, there really isn't a use case for most hobbyists to justify the cost of the Korean microfiber mitts from TRC or other manufacturers. Most people who are buying them are keeping up with the joneses or they're detailing as a business and detail higher end cars for clients. There's nothing wrong with the upscale mitts but they're really not that necessary IMO, I use grants mitts on my vehicles and they're perfectly fine.

Question: I recall paying maybe $1 for them a while back. I'm sure they are not name-brand. Did they go up in price, or are they better than the no-name brand?

I bought these from the previous deal. I don't like how tight the stretch band at the base fits. I literally have to use two hands to get the thing off and/or to wash/rinse it which really slows down the wash cycle. They work fine other than that...

They have many chamois. This is a brand I've seen before and has a 4.7 user ratings with 9k+ reviews for ~$7. https://a.co/d/0g9q65nN.

They also have 50 pack of microfiber cloths for ~$10

Had one of these for years. On the plus side, the microfiber doesn't collect a lot of debris and seems to stay clean for a long time. The downside is it gets waterlogged and heavy, and the inside lining of mine became loose and cumbersome after a few uses.
