I have had one for almost a year. My one con is that it will drain the battery if left on when the car's off, and a thief could unplug it or even take the SD card. I have had no problems otherwise and enjoy the fact that it's something in case of an accident. People drive even worse after COVID, and I don't trust not having evidence for all the crazies now too.

Does anyone get a discount with their insurance for having this?

I had the ROVE R2-4K, could hardly read the plate numbers of the cars even when its right in front. The First one started having issues reading the SD card saying its a fake after 2 years in the unit, the second unit started to have intermittent issue reading the SD card after a couple of ours being used. I called tech support and they said its a firmware issue and they no longer support updating the firmware since there's a new unit out, suggested to buy the latest model with 2 camera system (which is a Rove R2-4K DUAL). Really pissed cause this is just the same base unit but with an added rear camera and they "dont want" to update the firmware. They just want your money. Will not buy anything from ROVE again.

I have rove r2 4k dual, for over a year now that unit comes with front 4k + rear hd cam,It worked fine so far. But recently I started noticing the front cam videos are either getting corrupted or not playable the rove app is not that great and my doubt is on the recent firmware upgrade on front cam (main unit) the rear cam works great. I also got the hardwire kit installed for 24hour mode but over a year with 2 cam recording continuously may be its time to replace the SDXC a2 class 10 card
