Has anyone used this auto hammer before? I have a good amount in the SKIL ecosystem, but No experience with this tool.

At the rate 12 volt deals get posted, I might have to have a 12 volt system running alongside my 20 volt system that's pretty built out.

you absolutely should. you may end up using 12v more than 90% of the time.
skil/m12 are both good 12v systems. skil best balance of quality/price, m12 best system (HD has awesome deals every once in a while)

I had the older M12 tools before the fuel and replaced all of them with Skil 12v when a large kit came up for sale. And have added a bunch more tools ever since. The Skil is lighter, smaller, has more power, and I like the flat batteries since i can set down my tools instead of laying them over on the side. The only tool i keept from M12 was the oscilating even though my kit came with the Skil one. Mostly because the milwaukee was the only one that was smaller, even though the Skil one has a faster change out system compared to the milwaukee. I also don't need to pay the premium price of Milwaukee brand name. And for me the Skil does everything i have asked and than some.

Like you said, some skil 12v are still too big compared to m12, and ofcourse m12 has tools you won't find in skil.
So yeah, m12/skil/bosch (gotta have the flexichick) are my 12v tools.
