The Z2 A essentially mimics Valve's Steam Deck APU, being Zen 2, RDNA 2 with 8 GPU cores.
Z2 Go is a mid-tier upgrade, Zen 3+, RDNA 2, 12 GPU cores. It'll perform in between the Steam Deck and Z1E handhelds.
The regular, "Z2" and Z1E are essentially the same APU. Zen 4, RDNA 3 with 12 GPU cores.
The Z2E is the top of the AMD pack besides Strix Halo. Z2E is Zen 5, RDNA 3.5 with 16 GPU cores.

And of course upscaling to 1080p will be more performance heavy than the deck.
Also, both official steamos and bazzite are very buggy on it. It randomly breaks. And obviously windows on this table perf even more than steamos so it's unuseable in windows as well
720p does not look blurry on this 7" screen... get real. Even if you claim it does, which it doesn't, you can enable RSR in Windows. The same functionality is built into Bazzite's Gamescope.
Xbox Full Screen Experience is acceptable. It's not great, but performance is nearly identical to Linux. If you're seeing worse performance in Windows, it's because you have CPU boost enabled (It's on by default; turn it off).
I got tired of the Xbox FSE UI and the sleep/hibernate issues of Windows, so I wiped the drive and installed Bazzite. I haven't experienced any bugs whatsoever. The only thing missing is the fingerprint sensor doesn't work and rumble is not as good as it is in Windows. Both are things I can live without.
The handheld is great, and for anything heavy, I can just stream from my gaming PC using Moonlight.
