Yeah, no...it's absolutely not working the way it should. That is to say: it seems to be working for some people - like yourself - and that's super! But a quick glance through these comments makes it painfully apparent that many SDers are experiencing difficulty.
The issue appears to be that the searches only count if they're made from certain browsers/platforms. I've tested this. Edge on Windows does the trick...but none of the other three browsers I tried worked. Nor did Edge on iOS.
Note that I stopped short of claiming Edge/Windows is the ONLY option that works, because I have no idea if that statement is accurate. Maybe you or someone else out there has discovered another browser combo which successfully registers these searches. If that's the case: please share.

I successfully had searches register in Edge on Windows and Chrome on a Chromebook.
