Am I really supposed to believe that this hat somehow blocks the sun more than any other run-of-the-mill hat?
I got curious and looked it up too because it sounds like a load of marketing BS. If AI is to be trusted is responded with:

You hit on a very common myth. It feels like common sense that if you are wearing a hat, you are completely blocked from the sun.
In reality, UPF 50 on a hat is absolutely a real thing, and a standard hat does not automatically block out all UV rays just by being a physical barrier.

I love this comfortable hat so much that I've been waiting for it to go back on sale to buy one in black. I wear it regularly on long walks, and it does keep your head cool. I combine it with a Mission Cooling Towel around my neck, tucked into my shirt, and I stay cooler than a polar bear drinking Coca-Cola on Christmas.

i have one. My main complaint is the ugly branding but that will fall off within a few months.
Now that somebody mentioned it it is a bit shallow.

How does this compare to the Under Armour StealthForm Uncrushable hat? Sounds somewhat similar.

Hopefully if they have a label they've tested it. If there's no label, it may perform just as well, but likely hasn't been tested.

Every other color besides navy is normally $29.99, so it's 43% off.

Frequently returned due to tight fit
Apparently it has a circumference range of 20.5" to 24.5" (hat sizes 6½ to 7¾), so not great for those with XXL heads.

Umm... it's adjustable? I have a massive noggin, and it fits me fine with some adjustability remaining.
I prefer the unstructured visor as it provides better cooling on really hot, sunny days--and it's easier to re-wet than the hat.
It's adjustable. 20.5in - 24.5in (52cm - 62cm)

I just wrote a longer review and it didnt save. I'm not going to retype it. The gist was that this is a great hat, but this price isn't slick at all. Ive purchased and seen multiple times on W.M. website for 9.99.
