Not really. Woot had them open box for about $60 each and they're not super reliable. I bought 2 and constantly have issues with them, needing to restart them to get my full wifi speeds back.

had one for 3 years & no such issues, might be ur ISP also, or a defective unit.

Wifi routers are notoriously difficult to troubleshoot, so this is YMMV. One issue many people do not know to check is channel congestion, especially on the 2.4 GHz band.

In the U.S., 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi has 11 channels, but only channels 1, 6, and 11 are generally considered non-overlapping. If your router is fixed to a crowded channel, or if many nearby networks are using overlapping channels, your wireless performance will suffer.

I've used a Wi-Fi analyzer app on my phone before to check nearby networks and see which channels were congested. Switching to the 5 GHz band will normally eliminate this problem because it has way more available channels and is usually less crowded, though it has shorter range and weaker wall penetration than 2.4 GHz. 🤷 Also, some older or simpler devices still only support 2.4 GHz, so it is useful to know about this issue.

I mean, maybe. But after I dumped the 3 pack I bought and moved on to the Deco BE5000 3 pack, I haven't had issues at all. Heck, I can't even remember the last time I had to reboot them. Could have just been a set of bad units but my experience is not uncommon
