If you're a beginner and just need a starter set to get going, you probably won't know/care for the differences between this and the Costco Callaway Edge set. For the price difference, you could invest in a set of 4-5 lessons and be much better off.

Having gone through the beginner process, most people are best off buying yard sale or craigslist clubs first, spending no more than $100 total. Get lessons, play and practise for 1 year, then think about upgrades (if you still enjoy the game).

The Costco set will be at least double the cost of this. You will most likely replace both sets if you keep playing so I'd say this is the better value.
I wouldn't go with the used stuff yet as you will have no idea what you're buying and will also just replace that also. I just went through this a year and a half ago.

It's going to be pretty impossible to find a full set for under $100 total...unless it's this set used 😂 (not a bad idea actually)

My first set was $50 for cavity backs at a yard sale (older Callaway driver included). Its possible.

The Edge set is a significantly better set, without question. That said, it's also significantly more money. The clubs alone are like $600, and it doesn't come with a bag.
Most amateur golfers would probably never outgrow the Edge set, so if you know 100% that you're going to play golf for many years and get out more than a few times a year, it might be worth the price difference.
For a beginner golfer that isn't sure how much they'll play (or if they'll drop the hobby), this is better value.

I started 1 year ago this month and my used, and definitely older, driver was like 110. The clubs you'll find that will let you build a set for under 100 would make you hate this game and quit lol

You're not an experienced bargain hunter, I guess. I see multiple sets for $100 in my area on marketplace.

Maybe that's your area, man. My area, people were wanting way too much for their used sets online. I started with a 25 buck set of irons I found but within a couple months bought a $200 set of X-20 tours because that's the cheapest I could find anywhere that weren't complete trash. Bargain hunting is a hobby. You must live somewhere with people willing to part with their stuff cheap. Not here, bro
