Just want to say (as I have on some of the other posts for this deal) that this is a pretty great deal in today's market. The 270K is a great CPU for gaming and even better for general tasks and this is a feature rich motherboard. I paired mine with a 5080 but great for any setup. Only downside is the LGA1851 is a dead socket, but this setup would be good for years to come

If you can't wait for Nova Lake, it's the best mid range bundle in ages. I did tons of 7800X3D builds at $450-500, but they're asking crazy prices now for most of the AM5 bundles. Even if you can wait for Nova Lake, these are still going to sell well after the new socket launches, as the Q4 SKUs are going to be pricey. If you're on LGA1700 or AM4, it's the one to go for today. Prime sale is $265 for just the CPU, if you don't have an MC near.

Even then, it'll probably be a while before you'll get a deal this good with nova lake or AM6. And most users will hardly notice a difference.

Most users are surfing the web on cellphones that a Chromebook could give a run for the money, but point taken. The 270K Plus is for the few consumers with actual productivity needs. Both Nova Lake and Zen 6 (not AM6, we're still on AM5) are significant leaps, but the "power users" will have to weight the costs. No Nova Lake launch CPUs will be in the $250-300 range to compete with this SKU.

I actually made the jump from a 14900k and this cpu is a beast. Since the mobo and 14900k was still high on price I actually made money with my trade. Perfomance wise after overclock and undervolt im getting better perfomance, plus much less wattage/temp, ddr5 running at 8800mhz. All the benefits of z890 mobo which i didnt have with the z690. Wont be upgrading anytime soon since I also have a 5090

Just built a nice family use PC for our home office with this kit (Crucial RAM). Added RX9060XT 16GB. It's now ready for everyone to do whatever they need to for work, school, or play! All my previous builds were AMD5 for gaming. No regrets here for choosing a solid Intel powerhouse this time!
