I've tried to avoid being a victim of M1 marketing for about 25 years. It's great stuff, but that doesn't move product fast enough. People need to stop stressing over oil, this isn't 1973. Change your oil. Use the right weight. Send samples to Blackstone for peace of mind, it's worth it.

Most Mobil 1 products have upgraded to the newer API SQ standard. This is still at API SP.
SQ adds better protection for modern timing chains and turbochargers, the two biggest common weak points in modern engines.
