I had a gen 1 arc by it self in my living room and it was enough for me. I only got the sub almost a year later because I wanted a bit more bass.

Did not need another soundbar, but price is too good. It'll replace a Beam gen 1 in one of my spare bedrooms.
I also have an Arc and Sub in my loft, Playbar in another spare bedroom, a Beam and Mini Sub in another spare bedroom and a Ray and Mini Sub in the garage. All paired with Play: 1's for surrounds.
The Playbar overall is the best sounding for movies AND music. The Arc is next with the Ray a VERY close third. The Beam is last… doesn't mean it sounds bad, I just preferred the others. The Ray was actually a a huge surprise. It sounds great for movies and music and gets pretty loud
I have good old wired speakers in my living room and master bedroom.

First time dipping my toes into sonos, but I went a little crazy seeing this arc deal and combo'ing it with the $113 era 100 SL.
master bedroom gets arc + 2* era 100 SL (on nightstands)
open concept kitchen / living room get arc + 3* era 100 SL (rear corners of sofa + kitchen)
If I see a Sonos Sub or sub mini I'll probably grab one for the living room

Anyone upgrading their playbar at here ? I wonder what's the difference since I'm pretty happy with that and never feel like I need to upgrade
