That's not true. Troll comment. Was there an issue in the past - yes. Was it addressed by the company - yes Were the people affected compensated for it - yes. It's really well documented at this point what actually happened. Truthfully it was pretty shady, but AceMagic has not had any issues since the infected batch in 2023. This guy heard from someone who heard from someone and is spouting off on something they know nothing about. The golden rule when buying from any mini pc builder is to install your own OS from the start. It doesn't matter if it's AceMagic, Beelink, Ayaneo, or whoever. That said LPDDR5 is a deal breaker for me.

Not a troll comment. If a company cannot control what they push out then I have every right to critique their lack oversight. No excuses. I was one of the individuals that was affected. They brushed me offer after many emails.

Yes I do agree with you they might have already addressed the issue but who's to say it won't happen again.

And yes golden rule is a fresh install of Windows which many many who buy these Mini PCs won't do.

And again I'm quite aware of the situation of the infected batch. Infact I was going to be one of the owners that was going to ship theirs to the YouTube channel Gamers Nexus for review, but another user from the forums did.

So I don't want to hijack this thread to debate you, let me say this first. This deal will be good for those who would like a minimalist aesthetic and don't need high-end performance from their daily driver then this will be solid. I would be mindful of thermals on this at first as well as doing a fresh install of the OS. It's capable of light gaming, but if you buy this for gaming you will be disappointed.
Back to nnniiiixxxx: That was a troll comment you went to a thread, just bash the brand without any context to your claim. You had a bad experience with them so I get the reason you feel the way you do, but to just jump in on random threads is not justified and is trolling especially when the company has gone on record of attempting to correct the initial issue, and there have not been any other documented issues since the 23 incident. Not to downplay it because it was bad, they deserve a lot of the grief they got, but at some point after a few years of no other instances of anything else happening in thousands and thousands of sales you have to let it go. I know that if you search you'll find more instances from their sister brands, but it all ties back to the 23 incident and inventory cycling.
Not trying to step on your toes but in my opinion there are other brands that deserve trolling and spite much more than ACEMAGIC cough ASUS cough 😄 it's all subjective though.

Haha yes. No worries. Agreed let's not hijack this thread. It's a great deal and hope AceMagic has fixed their past issue. I

I'll do it for you. Bought three with the version that came with spyware but I never experienced any of it because?? Fresh installed windows like you said. Everything comes with bloatware to slow the machine down. Two issues I had with the model AM18 is the built in wifi card. Kept having to delete and re-install the driver. After the second problem with wifi card, I hard connect. Issue number two is after a year of owning it, the sleep mode is permanent. It stayed in sleep mode even with multiple attempt to press the power button. Hard reset to get it back on. Other than that, it is a solid machine for the kids to play simple games like Minecraft and Roblox. Kinda replacing the one AM18 that my kids broke the USB-C port for the power source.
