      New code is QT3QRW8P

Price is a few bucks higher though.

EDIT: See current code in OP post

I set ours up last weekend in our veggie garden and it was surprisingly quick and easy to do. The 1/2 connectors are very secure and the press in style 1/4 connectors are super convenient and make setup really quick. I've been monitoring the lines like a hawk this week looking out for leaks or disconnects, and haven't found any issues yet.

I'm so happy with it, I ordered a second kit to do our flowerbeds now. My only gripe is I wish the kit had more 1/2 to 1/4 splitters, specifically ones with only 1 or 2 1/4 connectors. Just don't like having to use a 4 way splitter for a single 1/4 line and plug the other 3.

Not the person you quoted, but I went with Home Depot's Husky brand wifi timer:
      https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky.../327680757

Has 4 yr warranty. (1 yr on the smart plug - included) And considering Husky is HD brand, I figured that warranty process will be much easier than no-name brand from Amazon.

I originally went with Orbit 3 port one (1 is manual watering only and 2 others are just digital timer based) but it would constantly reset itself (defective) so I had to return it back to Amazon.

I use the Husky timer with this irrigation system and so far so good.

Just be aware that these are not true "drip" irrigation systems, and they let out a lot of water. I currently have mine set to only water for 4 minutes a day, and skip every day that it rains.

Also worth noting it uses the Hubspace platform, and you must set up the included Outlet adapter as a Hubspace Router for the Husky timer in order to use it wirelessly.

Lastly, as you mentioned it does have a 4 year warranty, but be sure to keep the receipt because a lot of reviews do mention failures in the second season of use.

Beware of cheap tubing it contains phthalates that will leach into your soil and even rub off on your hands when you install it. These are known hormone and growth disruptors, especially harmful for children.

Will this work if the pipes are buried in the soil (to avoid cutting them with the mower)?

Doubt it. These are vinyl tubes that are very soft and flexible, not rigid at all. Basically a step up from those expanding garden hoses, but still far below even a light duty traditional garden hose.

I would imagine even if it doesn't happen right away, it will quickly get crushed as the dirt settles and compacts.

You should probably look for a different kit that uses rigid plastic tubing, or just piece one together from the local big box hardware store.

I bury my mainline 1/2 inch tubing 6 inch down to protect it (shallow because low traffic, no frost, and less work to install and fix). From my experience, you shouldn't have a problem so long as you take the necessary precautions.

My own system is on it's 3rd year now and have no issues with crushed/damaged tubes or loss of water pressure. Though if you don't need the flexibility, I'd strongly recommend you use the more rigid polyethylene (often reffered to as just "poly" tubing) instead of polyvinyl chloride tubing (which this appear to be). It's cheaper, last longer, and is said to be less prone to leaching. That said, I've used both buried without issue.

If you have heavy clay soil and you don't water often, you might run into an issue if you let the clay solidify around the tubing while in a compressed/crushed state. You can mitigate this by burying it deep enough that foot traffic doesn't meaningfully compress it and the soil stay at least somewhat most year round, or water often enough that the water pressure expands the tubing back to size.

No wifi. The 2 pack is $29.99, which is what I have. Both timers have been very dependable, no issues for the last 3+ months.

Don't forget the pressure regulator, here's mine: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B946Y...tle_1&th=1
