Community Reviews

Samsung's 65 inch S90F is drawing attention as a glossy QD OLED with strong picture quality and a price that lands well below comparable LG C5 options. The glossy screen is a big draw for people who want more pop and richness, and the TV is praised for looking excellent in normal viewing. Reflection handling matters, though, especially in bright rooms, and Dolby Vision support is missing. Warranty and Samsung Care Plus activation also come up as concerns, so it feels best suited to buyers who value the panel and can live with the tradeoffs.

  • Movie watchers who prefer Dolby Vision-free setups, because the TV's HDR10 presentation is described as effectively indistinguishable in practice.

  • Viewers in dim rooms, because the picture is praised while bright sunny rooms are called out as a poor fit.

  • PC gamers wanting a glossy OLED, because the glossy screen preserves picture pop and richness while supporting clear text and strong motion handling.

  • Shoppers buying a refurbished unit for living-room use, because reported refurbished units arrived with zero hours and still had screen plastic.

  • People needing reliable Dolby Vision playback, because the TV does not support Dolby Vision and some chains can show handshake-related color issues.

  • Owners who want dependable long-term support, because Samsung warranty handling is described as difficult and Care+ activation can fail.

  • Families placing the TV in a bright sunlit room, because the screen is described as struggling with reflections and glare in strong light.

  • Buyers who need a trouble-free display for client installs, because repeated random black-screen failures and reboot issues were reported.

You could not pay me to own one of these displays. Dig deeper on actual reviews. I've had to replace numerous S90 for clients. Random black screen requiring a full reboot. Failures. Warranty not being honored. I refuse to supply them.
Are you seeing those issues with the s90F or the known terrible s90D?

Why would you buy a refurb? Man that's gambling
Because they are way cheaper than new. I just got my refurbished S90FD from them and it was brand new with 0 hours and still had the plastic on the screen.

So I had ordered the lg c5 on Amazon after being unable to replicate this deal. Tried multiple browsers. About an hour ago, I tried once again, making sure I watched the video and going through Firefox on my phone. Scored. $774 plus tax made it $828. I know the C5 is probably slightly better, but not for an extra $326..at least for me. Actually, more like $350 with tax.

Anyone unable to activate Samsung Care+ 2 years, says "update unsuccessful" when I submit the serial # on my order history page.

Called them and unable to get it fixed too
