If you've graduated from college, check to see if your school has an alumni association email service. That will give you a [email protected] address you can set to forward to your main address. Dunno if that still works, but it did for me a couple years ago.

I've noticed a lot more sites have added more scripting to the logins, and I need to (temporarily) disable my ad blockers to be able to login to them. It sucks, but they seem to work fine if I re-enable the ad blockers after logging in.

That really depends on how you plan to use it. 6 GB is fine if you sit there using just a few apps at a time for hours. 8 GB is better if you like to flip between a dozen or two apps during that time. The 6 GB can do it, but eventually it'll run out of memory and will auto-close the oldest app. And it'll take longer when you switch to that app.

The bigger issue I think is 128 GB of storage. We're approaching the point where just the OS and the apps most people install will eat up over half of that. Add in some pictures, videos, music, and you will hit 128 GB pretty quickly. Granted you are less likely to add those to a tablet. But if any of your apps use a large cache (my mom's messaging app keeps all the pics and videos her friends send her in cache), you'll be better off with the 256 GB. The industry really should've switched to 256 GB as the default minimum within the last couple years. But they've been dragging their feet because of the sky high memory prices.

Sigh. California has this wonderful thing where you have to pay sales tax on the normal retail price of what you buy. If something is normally $1000, and you find a fantastic deal on it for $300, you still have to pay tax on $1000. Yes it sucks. Yes it contradicts everything about economics (the value of the taxable transaction is the amount of money exchanged, not some made-up value at which no transaction would occur). Don't let what happened to Californians happen to you. Stay vigilant so you can catch wind if your legislators propose anything like it, and fight them tooth and nail over it.

Samsung's Galaxy Tab A11+ is drawing attention as a budget 11 inch Android tablet with 7 years of updates, expandable storage, and an 8GB RAM option that feels solid for everyday use. The deal price is far better through EPP, EDU, AAA, or Capital One offers than on Amazon, and some checkout paths also surface bundle discounts or cash back that push the total lower. The main cautions are inconsistent Samsung login and pricing behavior, plus reports that the WiFi model may use an MT8775 chip rather than the expected Dimensity 7300. It looks like a practical pick if you want long support and low out of pocket cost.

  • The AAA member link can apply additional discounts and still show free shipping in cart estimates.

    MoneyTreegedster314The_Weeze

  • The deal can produce a lower out-the-door price when rewards are applied at checkout.

    Jay-CODealMayhem

  • The tablet can be paired with Galaxy Buds 3 FE through the bundle option for a combined purchase.

    crysman2000rigmaster2002

  • The EDU/EPP signup path can work by using a school email obtained through community college enrollment.

    Papi-Chino

  • The EDU/EPP price can jump to a much higher amount after entering credit card information.

    bobletcsbobletcs

  • The WiFi variant may use a different processor than expected, which can affect performance expectations.

    krnprogamer

  • Samsung may charge a restocking fee even when the tablet is returned unopened.

    tonkotsu

  • The warranty terms for EPP/EDU purchases may differ from what other retailers list, with Samsung showing only standard 12 months.

I'm confused then. You said perkspot was free? Like as in it is free to make an account and get an EPP email yourself?
It probably was free 6 years ago but that might have changed since then

Seems decent but I'd rather drop cheese on a 12 GB android tablet - seems like that's what's needed to future proof it as well as have a 120 hz screen.

2 cent, good for kids. Netflix, YouTube.
Bad, a really low SoC. They should just go MediaTek Dimensity 7000s. It suck because it's low end ones like this or some crazy 900+ from Samsung

Tab S10 plus was available for $275, S11 for $314 and S11 ultra for $540 with EDU/EPP for prime day. S11 Ultra is still available for $640 which IMO is a good deal.

Just used my .edu email and got 2 for 138.67 each after taxes. Picked them up at Bestbuy. Just used the barcode that Samsung gave me via email. Quick and easy. I've bought these before for back-to-school giveaways, and they're pretty decent for the price range.

So adding a trade in messes up the $125 price?
