I've been checking mine in store lately hoping for it to come down more.
Current price in store today was $1300, and the pricetag says it was posted on 6/2/26
I'm guessing tomorrow it'll come down to this price in store. But can I dream it'll be even lower in store?

Was in the store today.... $1099 was not on the price tag.

However, you did get the $1099. At register or bag and go.

Very good price with the 5 year warranty but the partner store at $1050. with free sound bar is slightly better.

I took the warranty instead of sound bar.

Is this Allstate warranty worth it at all? Anyone ever have to file a claim?

I never filed a claim with them but I'd say it is worth it for the 50 more than the partner store and dealing with a good vendor.

Allstate aka squaretrade has become a nightmare in terms of friction. I spent months trying to get something repaired. They wanted me to find a repair shop, have it repaired and then send the receipts to be reimbursed. So you get to dump good money after bad in hopes that they cover it, which is the opposite of their "worry free" mantra of products being covered.

After 6 months of back and forth photos and emails they sent it over to a "special claims" department who finally reimbursed me.

They also now have an AI friction-bot gatekeeper that grinds you down with trivial diagnosis dialogue. Did you unplug it and plug it back in? etc etc.

I'm waiting for them to just flag my account. I'm smart when I buy warranties so my ratio of claims is going to be higher. Smart battery powered doorbell with 3 year coverage? Yes. Solar powered garden lights? yes. Products that have non-replaceable batteries? yes. Logitech mouse that's going to get the double-click defect? yes. Logitech mice always die within 3 years. Battery powered meat thermometers exposed to 500 degree heat? They always, always fail.

Thank you for attending my warranty Ted Talk.
