The WiiM Amp is a compact streaming amplifier for passive speakers, with wired speaker output, AirPlay support, and a separate subwoofer output for a simple 2.1 setup. It is described as reliable in long-term use, and the 60 watts per channel at 8 ohms is called out clearly. It has been used successfully with KEF, Bose, and Wharfedale speakers, including tower speakers and a subwoofer. The main limits are that it is not for self-amplified wireless speakers, it does not support a center channel, and local music library handling is limited. A practical fit for straightforward stereo streaming setups.

I use this to drive a set of Bose speakers and it works fine for that purpose. It has a separate subwoofer output. WiiM seems to focus on streaming content from music services; if you have a local music library this is not a good choice imho because the local queue is limited to 500 or 1500 songs, unlike Sonos which you can keep around 64K tracks. There are also issues shuffling presets -- it will keep playing in the same order even if shuffle is set.

Anyone know if you could use this in conjunction with Sonos by using AirPlay? Any delay or synch issues?
Hey, this is a rare question I can come out of hiding to answer: Yes you can! I have this model (Wiim Amp) as well as a number of Sonos One's and a Sonos Amp. I use Airplay to cast audio from an Apple TV to both Sonos and Wiim. Despite being different brands, Airplay seems to handle it all just fine. If there is a sync difference, my ears don't seem to pick it up. And for most video apps on Apple TV, Airplay creates a small (under 1 second) video pause at the start of playback, to set up lip sync properly. It's very nice.
Just remember that not all Wiim models support Airplay. The regular Wiim Amp (this model) does.

I'm with everyone here recommending this amp. I have an rsl 12s subwoofer and wharfdale diamond tower speakers and this pushes them fine.

Sorry for sounding like a noob here, but if I wanted to set up a 3.1 system, what would be a great comp to this? L, R, C and sub. Thanks!
Just grab some 5-10 year old used AVR off FB Marketplace or Craigslist for $70-150, done. Save your money for the things that actually make an AUDIBLE difference: the speakers and sub. If your usage is mainly movies/TV then CENTER speaker (60-80% of output including 99% of dialogue) and sub.
