Anything but a Fire tablet. Amazon has been locking them down systematically so they are only useful when using them with Amazon's ecosystem.

How old is this model? Edit- looked it up before someone told me to. 11 months.

I already returned the ONN 11" 2026 for this tablet at Walmart. I'm not returning it again to save another $8 and the cash back, I'm simply too lazy to keep doing this.

Not sure where you found that information, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ was released November 2, 2025.

Funny enough, the next Amazon tablet is supposedly going to dump FireOS, and use Android

check out Amazon Kittyhawk
Would be a nice change IMO, I just hope they get the specs right, and don't cheap out on the RAM, even though RAM is crazy expensive right now

I've read about that and while that would be a welcome change, without that vendor lock-in of funneling users to Amazon services, that would mean prices would be higher.

Rumors are saying Amazon's first Kittyhawk tablet would be costing at least $400. If true, that's going to change the entire value proposition of buying an Amazon tablet.

If you choose "like New", there is 15% during check out, which is $157.17-23.58 = $133.59.

That's a pretty stupid price, and to think yesterday I was on the fence about being an Amazon open box for about $135.

Thanks for the info Wink

Yeah, definitely avoid the Fire tablets, I've rigged one to work around their semi-walled os, but it's a pita and slow and inconsistent.
