Excellent price for a strip hotel! That said, I have no idea how well, or not, the Sahara has held up over the years.

that property has been around for so long, it's iconic and dated at the same time. but they remodeled their casino floor a little over a year ago and did some remodeling, including the pools. i'm not sure how their rooms are though.

I stayed there in 2024, the remodel is nice -- rooms are great, so was pool and gym. I highly recommend this hotel, but when an above posted called it "on the strip" that is a bit of a stretch. It's like a 15-25min walk to get anywhere. I personally liked that it's close to the Arts District (just north) so perfect positioning for my tastes. Thanks serra as always for finding the killer travel deals!!!!!

It is on the Strip, the north end of the strip. The Vegas strip zone is much larger than it seems from pictures, or even driving in the area. Even in the heart of the strip, like where it crosses Flamingo or Tropicana, you have a 10-15 minute walk to get from one major hotel to another. But, you're correct that walking from the Sahara is a trek to almost anywhere. Take cabs or a car. Then again, getting to your car in hotel parking is another time drain.

honestly, in any of the vegas mega hotels, getting from your room to the casino floor is a time drain in itself. man, they'll stop at every floor around check-out time.

Hopefully updated the rooms also. Still, lodging for this price on the strip is very low!

If you're Ok taking a taxi/Uber to the main part of the strip this is fine, but there is no way I'll be walking 15-25mins at night in Vegas from the north. Nope nope nope.

As someone that goes to vegas regularly, this is a legitimately awful deal. Better deals can be had on a regular, continuous basis.

Of course not. But I meant in general. What's better than "Google Hotels"?

I will add, that the monorail stops here. You can use it to geth to other areas of interest like the sphere, and other casinos further down the strip. The pass is like $8 for 24 hours last time I was there. Ymmv
