Bought this last deal for same price. Works ok. It's a bit flimsy with a 50 lb 65 inch tv. Probably would splurge for something stronger next time. But for a budget wall mount it does the job

That's not much extension at all if you want to angle your TV more than a few degrees to either side.

What feels flimsy out of curiosity? I bought it around this price last year so I don't really consider this a deal but I have my 85 inch on this and it's been solid.

Bought one a few months back and have been very happy with it. I have a 65 inch TV hung with that currently and it doesn't feel flimsy. Getting another one for my 75.

How far are you looking to extend? This says over 16".

There is slop at every joint that adds up so when you extend it, the tv can sag and wobble very easily. While the mount bolts securely to the studs(16" oc or less only!), all of the arms and extensions lack ridgidity, especially at the joints. Yeah, you can tighten the joints but the bushings still have slop and the metal isnt very thick.
I mounted a 70" 50lb tv on it and it was a pain to level also as when you tighten the left/right tilt bracket screws, the bracket tweaks as the screws are torqued down so you have to start off-level before you torque it down.

If you arent going to use the extension feature it's not a bad deal but if you plan on using the extension and level/square fixtures matter to you, i would spend some more money on a better built fixture.

I'm actually shopping for a mount for a 50" screen right now, to hang on a wall perpendicular to one of the viewing positions it will serve, so I want it to pivot 90° or close to it. Most of the full-motion mounts I've found, even at half this price, say they extend 20"+.

That's fair - I use mine minimally extended and it works for that use case. Thanks!

I have a 65" Hisense on this right now, i don't see the "slop" or flimsiness people are saying. The only issue is have with it is that the vertical bars screwed into the TV just slide on the horizontal crossbar, they don't lock. Not a huge deal but something to be aware of if you're going to be moving it alot.

That doesn't sound right. There has to be a locking mechanism
