I hate the fact that the motherboard and PSU are proprietary! The motherboard died on my 4090 Aurora after the warranty expired and I had to pay an arm and a leg for a replacement. Also, when I wanted to upgrade the RAM, I tried to use g.skill ram. It worked great for a while until I did a BIOS update and then it wouldn't work anymore. Be warned you will have to pay through the nose for the particular RAM they specify. Yeah, I'm still bitter. The cooling on it was terrible as well. It really was a poor design overall. I will never buy an Aurora PC again.

Why not just move to a standard mother board and psu at that point?

Have not forgiven them for the hotbox mess that was my aurora r10. Thing sounded like a jet engine about to take off when it revved up, what a terrible design

I did, but I had to get a new case as well. The power supply won't work with a standard motherboard . And the Aurora case won't fit a standard motherboard or power supply. So I basically built a new computer, salvaging just the CPU, ram, the SSD, and the Video card from the Aurora. The cpu cooler was worthless, so I had to replace that as well.
