I bought this last week and have found a bunch of uses for it.
I don't stream. It tells me the time, the weather, one tap to open my Youtube Music, easily switch between audio devices connected to my PC, works great with my Phillips Hue light bulbs, I recorded some audio clips to play at the tap of a button, and other stuff. It's a really cool addition to my PC and I am seriously enjoying it.

This is a way better deal for the price and functions. Yes it's 40 bucks more, but you get 4 more buttons, 4 knobs, a nice screen and a USB hub (not powered).

Tough to justify this deal when the same producer's mobile app offers an equivalent number of buttons for free, and paying roughly the same price gets you a lifetime license to up to 64 buttons on that app.

I think 9 out of 10 people would prefer to have their phone free for... phone things. Forget an app.

While that's true, I think the app is a good solution for people with older phones that don't have any other function. I personally use an old Pixel that can't be traded in, and have it sitting on the side with a wireless charger. Shows me the temps of my CPU and GPU, among other stats using an Elgato HWiNFO plugin

My favorite use for this is to enter MFA codes. No more codes texted to my cell phone. I just tap a button on my Stream Deck and it inputs the code for me.

I bought the 15 key version in 2018 and quickly upgraded to the 32 key version a year later. I use it every day.
It was especially helpful when our gaming group ran several gaming servers. All server admin commands were only a single button push away.
Now I have it set up to show my computer vitals and to perform repetitive keyboard functions. I also use the virtual stream deck that comes as a bonus when you have the actual Stream Deck.
