Same, I got one premium from costco for 190, and one like new enhanced for upper floor

why are you switching to honeywell?

I have honeyweel t5, want to gey ecobees

THANK YOU. I was deciding between the essential and enhanced, but didn't want to pay the extra 50 bucks. With this, it's the same as a brand new essential.

What is enhanced and essential? I have one of the earliest ecobee models, i don't think they had different versions back then

Essential is the latest base version, no sensor support, smaller screen, plastic body. Enhanced is more polished and larger screen, sensor support, CO monitor. Premium is top of the line with built in speaker and comes in 1 remote sensor (2 if buying from Costco)

In addition to what others have said, I believe the enhanced includes a power extension kit (aka PEK) that can be used if you do not have a common wire available.

Just a heads-up for someone that lived with these things obliviously for years. They are notoriously inaccurate out of the box. It took an extremely humid environment for me to figure it out and then see on the Redditverse and other sites that others have found the same thing. Even if you seal the thermostat wire hole they will be off on temp and/or humidity. I used a Testo HVAC temp/humidity probe to calibrate mine and in once case the humidity was off by 8%. The max correction you can do is 10%. Temp calibration was not as bad but will still off by 2-3 degrees F.

I've been debating between the Honeywell T6 pro and ecobee to control the variable speed 2 stage. Do you mind sharing why you are switching?

Yeah took me a while to figure this one out. I was like this thing can't be right so i bought some tapo sensors and they were like 5% differences.
