It will work for all Rock Band and Guitar Hero titles for the respective system, with the exception of Guitar Hero: Live, which uses a 3x2 configuration for its fret buttons. If you're looking at options for Clone Hero, you may also be interested in the CRKD Guitar Controller, which has similar features and is high quality. Unfortunately. The lowest price I have seen for it was $110, and the MSRP is $129.99.

Great price, buy at this price, who knows when they'll stop making them.
This is a solid guitar, I had issues with sticky keys after very little use and their support was terrible/borderline rude/"tough luck buddy". I may have gotten a lemon. Rewarded that behavior (CKRD guitars didn't exist yet) and bought another that hasn't had any issues yet. When it works optimally it's the smoothest guitar I've had in my 18 years of RB (e.g., doesn't make a lot of noise while using, most forgiving/doesn't miss many notes that you know you hit).

Two nuisancy-items:
- At least with the PS5 it requires a small dongle, which conveniently stores within the guitar itself, but it takes up a USB-A port. With other instruments you'll likely need to run a (powered) hub, which I was hoping I was done with when I bought this.
- The battery charge doesn't last long when stored and play becomes very erratic when it's low, so you have to remember to charge it before playing.

I bought this and returned it. I'm a very techy person but the setup process for this on PC was too much for me. It didn't have its own software, it ran using 3rd party stuff like Steam to map the controls. The community had to make profiles for each game, and some of them didn't work the way they were supposed to. I can tolerate a complex setup process ONCE, as long as it works for all games. This didn't do that.

If all you want is Clone Hero, it's pretty seamless. But if you try to play several other guitar games too, it's a nightmare.

The CRKD guitar was good enough that I bought two. So far it's just worked with everything I've thrown at it.
