Personally I buy it because I know I can get basically a decade out of it with regular use and updates for much of that lifetime. Also, I know the resale value will hold so that if I decide to upgrade, I can suffer Facebook Marketplace to get a decent chunk paid for out of my next purchase.

I use mine for Illustrator, Photoshop, watching movies without squinting on flights, taking notes etc. I also prefer a larger screen. Just my thing.

Prospective iPad and Mac buyers have a couple days before stores that reset their prices on Sundays (e.g., BestBuy) move to match the new Apple MSRP's. After they do, common discounts, like the $150 we've been seeing off MacBook Airs for the last few weeks, will yield "sale" prices higher than the pre-raise MSRP's. Here, too, a slight discount against the prior MSRP is going to be better than a "strong" discount against the new one . . .

Pretty simple really: women enforce Apple's monopoly. If you have an iPhone, it makes sense to have an iPad to go with it. Women won't give you their number if you have an Android phone: "Why don't you have an iPhone? Are you poor?" - actual real world conversation!!! So Android is a no-go. There you have it. 🤣

Check your local Staples as I saw a brand new M4 13" iPad Pro at mine the other day for like $860ish. Only thing gained from M4 to M5 I believe is slightly more processing power and fast charging. Also I believe the lower storage models went from 12 to 16GB RAM but that's it.

I have been holding off so long. Went for the Pro 11" just wifi. Was a $100 off the old price, which is going to go up $200. So $300 swing. I really hate how AI is just built into everything. Let me choose when to use it and bring ram prices back to earth. New iPad replacing a w2017 iPad Pro that until recently was working great. Has started to randomly shut down, replacing battery helped but only a matter of time before it dies I fear.

I was looking at the 13" model new last night for $1300 at Best Buy, but they had an open box excellent for $1139 which still qualified for free Apple Care with my Total Tech or whatever they call it nowadays. Thought I would wake up and get it this morning before the sale stopped. Nope. All prices went up overnight, even the open box models, WTH.

I got a 1TB ipad pro 11 inch 2020 Wi-Fi and cellular 2nd gen from woot couple of days ago, paid $480, includes Apple Care till end of June 2027. It came NEW with 1 cycle, 100% battery, updated it to latest ios etc. More than what I need or imagine.
