Once you see the screen on these things you'll then realize the answer to own question. It's without a doubt the most vivid, clear and crisp "portable" display you can buy. It's truly amazing to see any kind of high res content on. It's almost like it looks better than real life.

Plus, it covers all your normal portable computing/laptop needs easily.

If you have a desktop mac at the home or office to remote into you then have the best of both worlds. There's countless uses for these iPad pros.

And like another poster already said, it'll last you a decade if you want it to.
Yep, gorgeous screen. And once you see the 11" vs. 13" side-by-side in person, that 13" screen starts calling out your name. Arguably the finest - or one of the finest - pieces of consumer electronics hardware on the market. Decided to pull the trigger on this since my perfect condition iPad Pro 11" M2 still fetches good money.

I've owned both the 11" and 13" iPad Pro and I ended up returning the 13" because it's just too massive for what I'd use it for. It's awkward to use on airplanes and because of the aspect ratio, if you are watching movies, the viewable real estate isn't much different than the 11". If you are getting it as a laptop replacement then it makes sense but if you are using it mainly as a tablet then go with the 11".

I really wanted to buy this on Amazon to get the 5% back with Prime Visa. First time I purchased it went through, only for it to tell me, two days later, that the card declined the purchase and got locked.
I unlocked the card and got Chase and Amazon in a conference call, to confirm that when I purchased it the second time, that it actually went through. They both confirmed in, in real time, that the purchase went through this time, and I got an email from Amazon confirming that the purchase went through. Chase assured me over and over that it wouldn't get denied this time.
The next day however, it got denied again and the card got locked again.
I guess Amazon and Chase really don't want my money. I ended up buying it at Costco, 2% executive rebate and 2% cash back on my credit card was the next best deal.

My Chase Freedom Flex kept declining as well for some reason.

Can you tell me what people use this large iPad for that justifies this price over a large android tablet?
I hate apple. Refuse to buy an iPhone because I despise ios and have exclusively used android phones my whole life. I've also had many android tablets, and they're all kind of shit. I bought an iPad pro m4 and it's so much smoother any android tablet I've ever had it's a night and day difference. It was certainly more expensive, but so worth it.

And next year you'd be saying the same about this one. LOL. Never ending game.
I got it during this deal. It was a m4 pro 1tb with cellular for $1199 or something like that. Still good price but that deal was crazy.

Word. My iPad Pro 3rd Generation from 2018 has been a workhorse for me. Every single update has worked and worked well. The only thing is with the last update to 26.5, she's become slow. Not unusable but noticeably slower. It didn't make the 27 cut, so it's time for me to grab a new M5 and, to your point above, ride it for another 8-10 years!
I noticed the same slowness with my 2018 iPad Pro after the last update. Maybe it's time to get this...

I noticed it with iOS26. It just got...slow. Slow rendering transitions etc. Thought it was just the workload, but little things like open it up and it seems like always indexing kind of slowness was becoming more and more noticeable. I even nuked it by wiping and reinstalling iOS. Didn't help. I ended up with a new Pro, it was time.
