I really wanted to go with the nest because A) it runs off existing power AND it utilizes my existing doorbell chime (whereas the Blink could either wire to power OR utilize existing chime). B) access to clips in the last 6 hours, whereas with Blink, I would forever pay (at least) $4/month, or possibly cut the subscription and never have access to any footage. C) my oldschool doorbell placement is tight, and the nest is much slimmer than the Blink. D) nest supports both 2.4 and 5 GHz, which might not matter, but given my router is close, it should be lightning fast on 5GHz
I was legitimately going to go with the Blink given that it was $25 lol. But this post won me over, and I just ordered the Nest for $101 (in "like new" condition, with the description saying the Nest looks and functions as if brand new)
