I have this or a similar model, and I don't understand why people like it. There's no bass.

Something happened with this model, the early versions are the real deal. They are not the same thing at all although the visuals are identical. I have an older pair in mint condition and they're excellent

I mean it's pretty clear what's happened.. it's the same price now that it was about a decade ago. The only way to do that is by making it more cheaply.

I had a old pair that were awesome.....until the rubberized coating started to degrade. It became very sticky and almost like rubs off into a dust. Wish they were just normal plastic because they would hold up a lot better over time but I used them for some electronic drums and they work.

As others have said, something must have changed over the years. I got my set when they launched what, 11 years ago now? They were probably the best sounding headset I ever used before switching to dedicated headphones instead.
Clearly something changed, because I paid 100 bucks in 2015 and now the MSRP is lower, and on sale for 36? Quality had to take a hit somewhere.
