Current model Travelpro Platinum Elite Softside Expandable Carry On 21-Inch Spinner available in Various Colors. USB-C + USB-A pass-through charging port[*]. All standard colors available. Per CamelCamelCamel, lowest price for a current model since 2023. Presumably a PrimeDay deal.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DL83GTP/

Also available directly from TravelPro for $295, with ludicrously slow free shipping, and ludicrously expensive fast shipping. Direct from maker allows for 100-day return.
https://travelpro.com/products/pl...on-spinner

Optionally, you can save a further $2 at Amazon by going for the ghastly Navy Camoflage pattern and regretting it evermore.
[*] The power bank is not included. Use your own with USB-A output and compliant with aviation regulations wherever you're flying. There's a special pocket for it.

Found this on my own, actually, this morning, and just pulled the trigger. Did some research and confirmed that the warranty is the same (including the "Trusted Companion" enhancement that covers shipping back to Travelpro in the event of the need for warranty repair). Otherwise, would have purchased at Travelpro.com for the 100 day return policy with free return shipping.
For those with the Amazon Prime card, it offered me 7% for No Rush shipping for slower Amazon delivery (a week, basically, instead of fast Prime delivery). Since the card already gives 5%, it's a 2% bump, but a total of 7% off $600 (I bought two) is decent, so I took it.
Been waiting for a deal on these since I promised them as Christmas gifts 6 months ago....

It is not a bad deal but not a good price. BF should lower it to under 200 if not 160 at some point. If you really need it for summer vacation, go grab it otherwise wait.

How does this compare to the Briggs and Riley expandable carry on?

Basis? Just a wild guess?
BF last year (2025), the lowest it got was $330; BF 2024 the lowest was $299; BF 2023 and 2022, same; the last time it was below the price it is right now ($295, or $280.25 current Prime Day "Exclusive Prime Price") was 2021, 5 years ago. And that's a lot of summer vacations ago.

I bought one as I've been eyeing it and needed a new carry on and noticed this morning that the like new has a 20% extra savings making it $220 plus tax so bought one of those to as some of those are new with damaged boxes.

I love my TravelPro but prices have gone sky high. I'll attest to durability and the price sounds about right for a reasonable deal.

$295 is solid for the Platinum Elite. Briggs is nice but way heavier and double the price. Travelpro is the sweet spot for frequent flyers.

I'm looking for an expandable carry on that's not so darn close to the limit, I've had issues where they make me gate check these size of bag because of the size. I have a 17inch expandable, 2 wheeler that's amazing but the wheels are coming off and I cannot find a replacement. 4 wheelers waste volume, and none of the 2 wheelers I've found have the same space or size as the one I have.

These dont match the current carry on requirement of several domestic airlines and almost all international airlines. Not sure if it woth the premium price if you cannot use it on all flights.

To each their own, but if I didn't already have one, I would get the Navy Camouflage as it would make it super easy to identify my carry on.
