Slooooooow. Very basic. Better than a fire tablet maybe.
I have have a few Mediatek Helio G99 (faster processors) tablets and they were not very fast for anything, and they had 8gb of RAM.
This has a much slower processor and only 4gb of RAM. Straight android takes like 3.5gb to run on my Samsung A9+. Very mediocre.

I have this tablet and find it just fine for basic couch surfing. Much better than a fire tablet (which I replaced). Works fine for me as an e-reader as well. Just my 2 cents. I think it's a fine value at less than $100.

I picked one of these up on sale for something like $87 a while ago with a case. It's actually a great budget tablet and does the things people do with budget tablets very well. May seem a big laggy when first turned on as it does all of its background tasks, but once its settled it's fine for watching videos, reading, listening to music (audio is surprisingly good for such a budget tablet - no bass to speak of, which will surprise nobody, but if you like acoustic music, female vocals or similar, it's not bad at all.
I've got much more powerful tablets for when I need them, but this one is perfect as a beside device.

I recently picked up the Onn 8.1" tablet instead of this one. It has a faster processor (But still not great), and I like the 3:2 higher resolution screen on it more than this one.
This is a very cheap, slow tablet. I think the ONN is worth $40 more.
And the ONN runs stock android.

I have an Onn 8.1" tablet also, and I agree the display is excellent for the price. I don't think it's significantly faster than the Lenovo Tab One, though. Also, anyone contemplating one of the two should keep in mind that the Onn does not have GPS, and does not have a headphone jack. If those matter to you, skip the Onn.

I was hoping the Onn 8.1" would go on sale but I'll just wait it out.

I understand. Even this "Doorbuster" price isn't as good as it had been in the past. The Tab One used to routinely go on sale for something like $85-$87. (I picked up mine with folio cover for $87).
