This open box Samsung 48 inch S90F OLED is appealing for a cheap 4K OLED, but the real draw is the chance to save hundreds if the unit is clean. The upside is that some open box TVs have arrived looking new, and Best Buy returns make inspection easier. The downside is repeated reports of missing remotes, power cords, stands, and even boxes, especially on fair and good grades. Burn in and damaged panels also show up often, so checking the unit in store matters.

  • Living-room viewers using it in a darker corner, because OLED brightness can struggle in bright rooms.

  • Buyers who want a 48-inch screen for a smaller setup, because the compact size suits a side news-feed or secondary TV.

  • Buyers who need a reliable open-box unit with all accessories included, because fair and good listings can arrive missing the remote, power cable, stand, or box.

  • People expecting a bright TV for sunlit rooms, because OLED brightness can struggle in bright rooms.

  • Buyers who need a dependable 48-inch panel for heavy use, because 48-inch OLED panels are described as weaker than 55-inch and larger models.

Am a bad man. Ordered a fair and excellent. Worried there won't be a remote or the screen is messed up on the fair.

Last year I jumped on a deal very similar to this, might have been for the 2024 version tv. But boy did I regret driving 60 miles to pick it up. The tv had major burn in. Ended up returning but the time and gad was not worth it.

Bestbuy has such low standards. Order this deal for "good" condition . Drove an hour to go pick it up today. Got there , had no box , no remote , no power cable, handed it to me wrapped in bubble wrap. I said this is far from good condition per your guidelines , they couldn't care less. Ended up not even picking it up and returning it on the spot

In all fairness you could have asked for the manager and they would have given you at least the power cord. No box was because it was the display model. They should have listed it as fair.

You dodged a bullet. When they wrap it up and you take it home and unwrap it finding a crack screen or burn in or lines, you are screwed. They will blame it on you.
