Got one of these the last time it was on sale. Really like this screwdriver. Perfect for the kitchen drawer and light jobs around the house.

this has a mechanical clutch so prevents stripping screws when applying torque. Good price for decent powered screwdriver around the house for light jobs.

Same. Curious is it hard to switch to max? The rest have resistance but I feel something is off moving it to max not sure if it is normal

Lots of reviews saying it isn't very powerful and that it will only charge using the included USB A to C and that you can't use another usb cable to charge it. FYI

This is normal. I have two units and both have extra resistance when turning from 7 to Max.

The other post I did extensive comparison on reviews between this and Amazon basics version and chose this. 1 review actually measured torque and this beat it out, has locking bits, clutch actually stops torque vs software, forgetting the other pros

I'll test charging when I get home

I have two of these, both of them will charge with any A to C cable.

The negative reviews regarding the charging cable are because people are trying to use C to C cables to charge it. The 242 lacks the e-marker chip to negotiate proper charging over USB-C, so using C to C cables won't charge it unless your outlet charger only does 5V.

Those Mifaso/AddTab outlet splitters with built-in USB-C ports only do 5V, so you CAN charge using C to C cables if you use that outlet.

I've tested this myself and can confirm it works on both of my 242's.

It's wrong I own one more then year. Use regular (not included with driver, that too short) USB-A to C cable and simple 15w wall adapter.

The limit is likly USB-A being limited to 5V; you could probably do C-C if it was 5V but most are higher or variable with PD
