Mods are editing my deals and moving them to staff posts

This morning, I posted a deal for the Sword of Shannara eBook Trilogy:

https://slickdeals.net/f/19683213-publisher-ebook-sale-terry-brooks-the-sword-of-shannara-trilogy-1-99

My link originally had five vendors on it: Amazon, Kobo, Barnes and Noble, Google Play, and Bookshop.

A few minutes later, I saw that the same deal had been posted by a SlickDeals staff member:
https://slickdeals.net/f/19682976-the-sword-of-shannara-trilogy-kindle-ebook-1-99

Theirs only contained the Amazon and Google Play links. Bit frustrating, because I feel like I did more work in posting mine to comb through the various vendors and post a description, but, fine, he technically beat me by an hour.

Later, I saw that someone had edited my post to remove the Amazon and Google Play links. I assume a mod, but it does not show me who. This happened once in the past, and a mod told me that he had removed the "duplicate" postings that overlapped with the earlier deal. So again, frustrating...but fine.

But now I look at the SD staff's listing (which has since gone Frontpage), and I see that it, too, has been edited to post links to Apple Books and Barnes and Noble, which were originally from my thread!

So I'd like to know why SD staff are apparently allowed to pillage from my posts in order to buttress their own threads, yet I am forbidden from doing the same.

Thanks for voicing your concerns AdmiralAsshat, I can understand how frustrating must be from a member's perspective when a deal you take the time to post gets FPd by a staff member.
If you are interested, I can explain the situation from my perspective as a mod behind the scenes: it looks like the staff thread with 2 links was posted first, and so the duplicate links from both threads were removed from yours (amazon and google play), which is standard practice in how we deal with reposts. Once their thread met the threshhold for a Front Page deal, it does appear that additional vendor links were added into the Front Page post (which is common) but what was overlooked was that multiple of those links were reposts of your thread.
I will request to add you and a discuss link for your thread in the Front Page Post (which is a common method when situations like these arise, since your thread may not quite have met the threshhold to make Front Page status on its own but since your links were posted first and are helpful to expand the deal, you deserve a thanks).

My apologies for your frustrations, and I hope this helps clarify the confusion.
