Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
Open-box "Excellent" from Best Buy can be a great value if you're comfortable with it, especially since it still goes through Geek Squad inspection. Just be sure to check the battery health, cosmetic condition, and return policy after pickup.
I've been eyeing these twice at $840. These flopped and I feel like they will be cheaper in time. The e sets a $600 floor so I'm not sure how much cheaper this can really get but $750-$800 makes sense.
I got one in NH (no sales tax) during the early July sale for $763.99. Kind of a no brainer for me. I'm not much into taking pictures and the camera it does have works fine for me. I was switching from an iPhone 12, so battery life has been great, but I admit I still worry about the battery all the time. I make it through the day no problem with charging only to 80%, especially when I commute 20 minutes going home and charging in the car, even after the occasional doom scrolling when I'm home.
I've been debating on the air or the new fold. Reason being is I take it this will be the last generation of iphone under 1k. I still don't think it'll drop under $700 after the new releases.

We are just a month away from the new ones. The 17 is already a much better phone than this. It's going to drop to 500 levels by Thanksgiving.
Additionally, the S25 Edge is simply a much better phone than this. Yes it's an Android, but it's more feature packed with uniform thickness. And the woot sale had it for $570 new. This one is prettier with the stainless steel I guess, but nowhere near as good. If you're getting this as a side phone and hence don't need the blue bubbles, I recommend going for the edge instead, you'll have a much better experience. Primary phone, sure, stay on iOS if you have to.
