All Apple products (except for new iPhones for now) have raised prices due to the limited RAM supply caused by the AI industry.
Xbox just received another price increase and will have another in 2027.
A lot of RAM-dependent devices have increased prices recently and will continue to increase.

Yeah you couldn't PAY me to use a firestick ever again. Apple TV's the good ones were $199 quite often. $249 is nothing for a device like this. Heck the lame old shield is still like 200. Anything with ram and storage will be going up for a while.

The price increase on these is all about setting a new baseline for when the insanely delayed new model is released in a few months. The new RAM prices are real, but this hardware has been sitting on shelves and warehouses for years.

Just saw this and ordered the last 128gb one for pickup at our local Sam's. 64gb was sold out already. Was waiting for the new one, but not worth an extra $100 just for a streaming device. These models still work great (unless Apple decides to gimp them software-wise).

Thanks. Kids were getting sick of moving our upstairs ATV from room to room but I wasn't in a rush so was waiting for new one. I don't wanna spend $250+ for something that will be marginally better if at all, so you saved me $110 for someone's birthday!

I feel like such an idiot returning the AppleTV 4K 128GB w/ ethernet I got from costco for $100 in October last year. Gurman and these idiot rumor mill kept saying Apple is about to release the new AppleTV so I got greedy and how I lost out. Kept my AppleTV 4K 2nd gen and now waiting to get ripped off for the latest gen. At least I have iTunes gift cards at 20% off. $200+ tax.
